Background
The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), acting as the Owner, is seeking qualified firms to provide general contractor services for Project No. TCSG-375. This project involves the construction of a Center for Transportation and Logistics at Atlanta Technical College in South Fulton, Georgia. It aims to support the college's Commercial Truck Driving and Diesel Mechanic Training programs by providing necessary facilities.

Work Details
The project includes the construction of a 63,000 square foot Commercial Truck Driving Training pad that will serve as a DDS-approved testing site, along with 48 parking stalls. Additionally, an 8,318 square foot classroom and shop facility will be constructed. The building will utilize a pre-engineered metal building system featuring two classrooms separated by an operable wall, a shop area with CMU construction to accommodate two 4-post lifts and a mezzanine, office spaces, a small conference room, and a covered porch observation area.

The project is located at Cochran Road and Cascade Palmetto Highway (GA Hwy No. 70), South Fulton, GA 30213. The estimated budget for this project is approximately $4 million.

Period of Performance
The construction documents are expected to be available for distribution in September 2024, with bids due within 30 days thereafter. Construction is anticipated to commence by November 2024 and reach material completion approximately 10 to 12 months after the issuance of the proceed order.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Atlanta Technical College located in South Fulton, Georgia.
