Taylor County Recreation Center

Background
The Taylor County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for a General Construction Contract to build a New Recreation Center in Taylor County, Georgia. The project aims to enhance community recreational facilities and support the local population's needs.

The construction will involve a Type III-B sprinkler building, utilizing pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) and masonry construction techniques.

Work Details
The contract encompasses the general construction of the New Recreation Center, which includes site preparation, foundation work, structural framing, roofing, installation of mechanical and electrical systems, interior finishes, and landscaping.

The project will be located at 181 Charing Road, Butler, Georgia 31006. Bidders must submit their proposals on a lump sum basis; segregated proposals will not be accepted. All bidders are required to prequalify according to the requirements outlined in Document 002113 - Instructions to Bidders.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to be completed by October 31, 2026. All pay requests must also be submitted by this date.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at 181 Charing Road, Butler, Georgia 31006.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond of no less than 5% of the bid amount and submit a Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Document A305) fifteen days prior to the bid date. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate their qualifications through evidence of financial position and licensing to perform work in the State of Georgia.
