Background
The Cobb County School District (CCSD) is seeking proposals from General Contractors for the Tapp Middle School Addition and Renovations project. The goal of this contract is to enhance educational facilities through the renovation of existing classrooms and the construction of new classroom additions, thereby supporting the district's mission to provide quality education in a conducive environment.

Work Details
The project involves phased renovations of existing classrooms and the music-science annex, as well as phased construction of new classroom additions to existing buildings. Key tasks include:

- Demolition of the existing north annex building.
- Replacement of existing roofing across the buildings.
- Replacement of drinking fountains throughout the facilities.
- Replacement of an existing freezer.
- Modifications to HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinklers, electrical, and low voltage systems in both new and existing buildings.
- Site modifications necessary to support the building addition.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence following proposal acceptance and will continue until project completion. The closing date for proposals is set for March 6, 2025.
