Description

This solicitation is being conducted by the Georgia Department of Transportation under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of a public road (as defined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3 (24) as provided for in O.C.G.A 32-2-61 (c) and (d) (1) (D). Only contractors deemed as Qualified Contractors to provide Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement & Miscellaneous Maintenance Services through the routine maintenance prequalification process are eligible to participate in this Invitation to Bid/Request for Quote. Through this ITB/RFQ the Georgia Department of Transportation (hereinafter, the State Entity, Department, Agency, or GDOT) is seeking bids for Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement & Miscellaneous Maintenance Services. The qualified firms who have been awarded a Master Service Agreement (MSA) through the prequalification process #48400-410-000043083. All respondents to this ITB/RFQ are subject to same terms and conditions of the MMSA 48400-410-000034480, subsequent awarded contract, and the ITB/RFQ Form, and are cautioned to completely review the entire ITB/RFQ and follow instructions carefully. The Department reserves the right to modify existing provisions or include additional provisions, which are not currently addressed herein and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities at its discretion.
Background
This solicitation is being conducted by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of public roads. The goal of this contract is to secure qualified contractors for Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement, & Miscellaneous Maintenance Services in District 6. Only contractors deemed as Qualified Contractors through GDOT's prequalification process are eligible to participate in this Invitation to Bid (ITB).

Work Details
The contractor will perform drainage rehabilitation, repair, replacement, and miscellaneous maintenance services which include:

1. Digging and replacing two 18-inch concrete pipes at specified locations along SR 61 in Carroll County.

2. The scope includes excavation, removal of existing pipes, installation of new concrete pipes, construction of headwalls, and ensuring positive drainage upon project completion.

3. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, tools, equipment, means of transportation, traffic control measures, and incidentals necessary to perform the work according to GDOT specifications.

4. Compliance with safety regulations and traffic control plans is mandatory during operations.

Period of Performance
Work must begin no later than 30 days after the Prework Meeting and must be completed no later than 150 days after the Prework Meeting.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at specified locations along SR 61 in Carroll County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be pre-qualified under GDOT's Maintenance Master Services Agreement (MMSA) process. They must also comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by registering with E-Verify and providing necessary documentation regarding their workforce compliance. Additionally, contractors are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage as specified in the MMSA.
