Background
This solicitation is issued by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) under its authority to procure services related to the construction and maintenance of public roads. The goal of this contract is to secure qualified contractors for Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services in District 5, specifically for work on SR 147/SR 178 in Toombs County. Only contractors who have undergone a prequalification process and hold a Maintenance Master Services Agreement (MSA) are eligible to participate in this Invitation to Bid (ITB).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, means of transportation, traffic control, and incidentals necessary for Pavement Preservation and Maintenance Services. Specific tasks include:

1. Asphalt milling and inlay from mile post 8.2 to 9.4 on SR 147/SR 178.
2. Temporary and permanent striping matching existing patterns.
3. Compliance with GDOT Standard Specifications and Quality Acceptance criteria.
4. Traffic control measures as per the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
5. Utilization of subcontractors must be approved by GDOT with proper documentation.
6. The project includes approximately 1.20 miles of work involving milling asphalt variable depth, paving with recycled asphalt concrete, and striping.

Period of Performance
Work must begin no later than 45 days after the Prework Meeting and must be completed within 90 days after the Prework Meeting.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed on SR 147/SR 178 in Toombs County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Only contractors with an MSA agreement beginning with (48400-410-0000034480) are eligible to bid. Contractors must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by registering with E-Verify and submitting required affidavits for themselves and any subcontractors. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each equal to 100% of the Award Price must be provided by the successful bidder.
