Sugar Creek Emergency Sewer Repair

Background
The City of Valdosta, Georgia, is seeking bids for the Sugar Creek Emergency Sewer Repair project. This project aims to repair and realign a portion of the sewer trunk line along Sugar Creek and replace two aerial crossings across Sugar Creek. The work is essential for maintaining the city's sewer infrastructure and ensuring public health and safety.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Installation of approximately 780 linear feet of new 30-inch PVC gravity sewer pipe;
- Installation of new manholes;
- Abandonment and grout filling of the existing 36-inch gravity sewer line;
- Replacement of two 8-inch aerial crossings with 16-inch steel casings;
- Construction of concrete support piers;
- Bypass pumping;
- Clearing and grubbing;
- All related work necessary to complete the project.

The contract will be a Unit Price Contract, with payments made monthly based on actual quantities measured.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is set for 120 calendar days from the date specified in a written Notice to Proceed from the City Engineer.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed along Sugar Creek in Valdosta, Georgia.
