Description
Background
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to implement, host, integrate, and manage a web-based Statewide Dispatching and Scheduling Solution. This initiative is part of GDOT's Division of Intermodal Programs, which administers the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) non-urban formula program known as the Section 5311 Program. The program supports approximately 62 subrecipients across Georgia's 159 counties, providing both capital and operating funds for rural transportation services.
GDOT aims to enhance its operational capabilities by transitioning to a more integrated and efficient dispatching and scheduling system.
Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for:
1. Implementing a comprehensive cloud-based Dispatching and Scheduling Solution that includes an IVR system for callbacks and automated trip reminders.
2. Transferring relevant data from the current Statewide QRyde system to the new solution.
3. Providing Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) for vehicles, with a goal of equipping 100% of the fleet, including leasing options for various quantities of devices.
4. Allowing other public transit providers in Georgia to purchase the solution under the same contract terms, with pricing options for base licensing for 200 users and additional increments.
5. Offering innovative solutions such as PCI compliant fare collection systems, in-vehicle camera systems, and mobile applications.
6. Ensuring all software is tested for compliance with specifications and free from defects before acceptance by GDOT.
7. Providing comprehensive training, documentation, support, and maintenance throughout the contract duration.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be one year from the date of award, with four optional one-year renewals at GDOT's discretion.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed statewide across Georgia, with specific focus on areas served by GDOT's rural transportation programs.
