Sparta Sewer System Rehabilitation Contract 1- Pump Station Replacements

Background
The City of Sparta, Georgia is issuing a solicitation for the Sparta Sewer System Rehabilitation Contract 1, which focuses on the replacement of pump stations. The project aims to enhance the sewer system's efficiency and reliability as part of the city's infrastructure improvement efforts.

Work Details
The project includes the following major elements:
- Replacement of three sewer lift stations
- Removal of existing equipment
- Installation of new equipment
- Electrical work
- Site improvements
- Installation of five (5) manholes
- Replacement of three (3) air release/vacuum valves
- Retrofit installation of equipment at five (5) lift stations.

Period of Performance
The time for completion for all work associated with this project shall be one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days from the date of a written Notice to Proceed from the OWNER.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in the City of Sparta, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond or certified cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid at the time of bid opening. The successful bidder will also need to furnish insurance, Workman's Compensation Insurance, and Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid. Bidders must comply with all Federal, State, and local laws.
