Southeast Athletic Complex Parking Lot Project

Background
The City of Stonecrest is seeking qualified bidders for a fixed project to construct three additional parking lots at the Southeast Athletic Complex (SAC). This initiative aims to enhance parking capacity for the facility, which is heavily utilized for various athletic events and community gatherings. The project is funded by Special Purpose Local Optional Tax (SPLOST) Funds, designated for infrastructure improvements.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete the construction of three new parking lots adjacent to the existing lot. The scope includes:
- Demolition
- Grading
- Installation of concrete curbs and gutters
- Asphalt paving
- Concrete sidewalks
- Landscaping
- Stormwater utilities installation
- Erosion control measures
- Adjustments to water valves and manholes if required
- Pavement striping

The project will add 193 new parking spaces. The contractor must adhere to all applicable regulations including GDOT standards and ensure that work does not interfere with existing facility operations.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 150 days from the issuance of a Purchase Order and Notice to Proceed. Work is expected to commence within 10 calendar days of receiving the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at the Southeast Athletic Complex located at 5845 Hillvale Road, Lithonia, GA 30058.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount. They should also provide evidence of good faith and responsibility through a certified check or bank officer's check. Bidders must be registered as contractors with the City prior to notice to proceed and maintain active status in the City’s Vendor Registration System. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations is mandatory.
