The Floyd County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids for the purchase of one Squeeze Forklift intended for use at the Rome/Floyd Recycle Center. Work Details
The contract involves supplying one Squeeze Forklift with the following specifications:
- Engine: Diesel, minimum 4-cylinder (60 HP) with exhaust scrubber or equivalent technology.
- Capacity: Minimum 5000 lb. lift at a 24" load center.
- Transmission: Automatic - shift on the fly.
- Steering: Power steering.
- Mast: 2-stage mast with full free lift; minimum fork height of 120", minimum free lift of 63", and minimum lowered height of 86".
- Forks: Bale clamp measuring 24" tall and 40 - 42" long, with a spread between 96" and 102" when fully open.
- Tires: Solid non-marking tires suitable for indoor use only.
- Features include a bolt-free floor panel, elevated air intake, a two-stage double filtration air filter system, self-adjusting brakes, horn, back-up beeper, strobe light, and headlights.
- Warranty: Minimum of a 12-month warranty on parts and labor including travel time. Options for extended warranties on power train and bumper-to-bumper coverage are also requested. Manuals required include two complete sets of repair manuals, two complete sets of parts manuals, and one operator manual. The forklift must meet or exceed OSHA safety standards.

Period of Performance
The bids are due by June 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM local time. Work is expected to commence within stated calendar days after issuance of a 'Notice to Proceed'.
