SB004-26 GDOT SR 20 at Old Conyers Rd Project

Background
The City of Lawrenceville is issuing a solicitation for competitive sealed bids for the GDOT S.R 20 at Old Conyers Rd Project #16386. The project aims to enhance infrastructure along S.R 20 (Conyers Rd) from Rosebud Rd to McCullers Rd, aligning with the city's mission to improve public utilities and services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing approximately 8,000 feet of 4-inch polyethylene (PE) and 1,000 feet of 2-inch PE. All materials will be supplied by the City of Lawrenceville. Specific requirements include:

- Pigging all mains.
- Testing all plastic mains at a minimum of 100 psi for 24 hours.
- Testing all plastic service lines at a minimum of 100 psi for 10 minutes.
- Testing all steel lines at a minimum of 750 psi for 24 hours.
- Coating all weld joints being bored with F1 two-part epoxy according to manufacturer’s standards.
- Providing as-built plans and a complete list of materials and serial numbers or lot numbers upon project completion.
- Restoring landscaping and any gravel or hard surfaces to their original or better condition, adhering to DOT standards.

Period of Performance
The contract work must commence within ten (10) days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days.

Place of Performance
The work will take place along S.R 20 (Conyers Rd) from Rosebud Rd to McCullers Rd in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a Utility Contractor's license, maintain a permanent place of business, possess the necessary equipment for the work, and demonstrate experience with at least three contracts similar in nature valued at no less than $400,000 each within the past five years. A five percent (5%) bid bond is required with the submission, along with performance and payment bonds each amounting to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount upon award.
