Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation Year 1 (2025-2026)

Background
The Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation Program Year 1 (2025-2026) is issued by Columbus Water Works, located in Columbus, Georgia. The mission of this project is to enhance the sanitary sewer infrastructure through rehabilitation efforts, ensuring efficient wastewater management and compliance with environmental standards.

Work Details
The project involves the following tasks: cleaning, video inspection, and lining of sanitary sewers using the Cured-In-Place Pipe method. Specifically, approximately 5,900 linear feet of sewer lines in sizes 8-inch, 10-inch, 24-inch, and 36-inch will be lined. Additionally, around 100 vertical feet (VF) of manholes will undergo Level C rehabilitation. One existing manhole will be removed and replaced with a new precast concrete manhole.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to take place during the year 2025 to 2026.

The work will be performed at various locations within Columbus, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate good faith efforts to achieve a minimum of ten percent of the bid amount being completed by Minority Owned Firms (MBE) and five percent by Women Owned Firms (WBE). Bidders are encouraged to include local businesses in their proposals. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond amounting to five percent of the bid value. Successful bidders are required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each for 100 percent of the bid amount.
