Road Resurfacing - ITB PW 25-09

Background
The City of Norcross is seeking sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for a road resurfacing project as part of the city’s 2025 road resurfacing program. The goal is to improve the infrastructure by resurfacing 25 roads within the city limits, enhancing safety and accessibility for residents and visitors.

Work Details
The project scope includes milling and resurfacing of 25 designated roads. Specific tasks include:
- Repairing existing pavement bases where needed
- Resurfacing adjacent driveways to meet street pavement grades
- Maintaining traffic control measures
- Milling existing pavement
- Installing tack coat
- Applying asphaltic concrete surface (1.5 inch 9.5MM super-pave asphalt)
- Patching with 8” GAB over compacted subgrade
- Installing pavement striping and markings as directed.

The contractor must also adjust water valves and manholes to meet new pavement grades. All adjustments must be completed within 10 days post-resurfacing. All materials used must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation specifications.

Period of Performance
All work must be completed within 120 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the city limits of Norcross, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide evidence of experience in similar projects and possess necessary qualifications. A bid bond is required for bids over $30,000. Joint ventures are not allowed; the general contractor must perform all aspects of the project without subcontracting.
