Ridge Pine Elevated Tank and Booster Pump Station

Background
The Ridge Pine Elevated Tank and Booster Pump Station project is initiated by the local government to enhance water storage and distribution capabilities in Canton, Georgia. The project aims to construct a new elevated water tank and associated infrastructure to support the community's water supply needs.

The project site is located at the intersection of Pine Crest Drive and Marietta Highway, where a new park is also being developed.

Work Details
The project includes the following major components:
1. Supply and installation of a 1.5 million-gallon composite style elevated tank.
2. Installation of a pump station within the tank's concrete column, featuring three pumps (maximum 50 HP), constant speed motors, control components, piping, and valving.
3. Installation of approximately 700 feet of 16-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water line with all necessary tie-ins for water piping and electrical utilities.
4. Relocation and installation of a 200 kW diesel backup generator with an automatic transfer switch.
5. Demolition and removal of the existing Ridge Pine Booster Pump Station, existing 0.5 million-gallon ground storage tank, and K-Mart Booster Pump Station.
6. Decommissioning of the existing Ridge Pine Elevated Storage Tank (0.2 million gallons).
7. Improvements to Pine Crest Drive and site enhancements including retaining wall installation, pavements, bioswales, stormwater pipes, and landscaping.
8. All associated civil/sitework, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation work necessary for project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over an estimated period from January 21, 2025, until completion as determined by project milestones.

Place of Performance
The contract will be executed at the project site located at Pine Crest Drive & Marietta Highway in Canton, Georgia.
