Background
The City of Peachtree Corners, a community of over 40,000 residents, is seeking proposals for a comprehensive rewrite of its Zoning Ordinance and updates to its Land Development and Building Codes. The City aims to enter into a professional services contract with a qualified Proposer who has demonstrated experience in drafting municipal zoning ordinances and development codes in Georgia. Peachtree Corners, incorporated in 2012, is recognized as a 'Smart City' due to its integration of technology and has distinct areas such as the Curiosity Lab, Town Center, and The Forum.

Work Details
The selected consultant will be responsible for:

1. Analyzing the current Zoning Ordinance and Planning and Development Chapter to evaluate existing zoning districts and overlays.

2. Analyzing the existing Sign Ordinance (Chapter 54) and providing feedback on sign dimensions and design requirements.

3. Reviewing the Comprehensive Plan to ensure consistency with new code recommendations.

4. Assisting with public outreach initiatives including attending public hearings.

5. Drafting revisions of the ordinance including graphics for staff review leading to a final version for Planning Commission and City Council action.

6. Formatting the code logically to promote transparency.

Period of Performance
The contract period is anticipated to begin following award on May 16, 2025, with specific timelines for deliverables established in collaboration with city staff.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate competency in ordinance drafting and have experience relevant to municipal zoning ordinances in Georgia. Specific qualifications related to familiarity with DCA, ARC, Gwinnett County ordinances, and previous project experience are required.
