RFQ-484-060225TIA-CEI Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Services for TIA Projects

Background
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services for projects under the Transportation Investment Act (TIA).

The TIA aims to fund transportation improvements through a 1% sales tax in designated special districts. This RFQ seeks to identify potential providers for various construction projects, including road widening, intersection improvements, and bridge rehabilitation.

Work Details
The consultant will provide CEI services that include contract administration, inspection, and materials sampling and testing for TIA projects.

Specific project types may include:
- Widening and reconstruction of roadways
- Intersection improvements
- New location roadways
- Interchange construction
- Bridge replacement
- Rehabilitation of asphalt and concrete pavement (including full-depth reclamation)
- Resurfacing.

Some projects may require inspection during nights and weekends.

Period of Performance
The contract will be in effect for a minimum of three (3) years with the possibility of extending for an additional two (2) years based on GDOT's discretion. The contract is an On-Call Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the state of Georgia as specified in the individual project contracts under the TIA program.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must be prequalified in the indicated Area Class(es) to be evaluated. The GDOT encourages participation from small businesses and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. All firms must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act.
