Description

Fayette County, Georgia is seeking quotes for roadside tree pruning. A mandatory pre-quote conference will be held on 10:00a.m., Friday, November 1, 2024, at 212 Flat Creek Trail, Fayetteville, GA to provide an opportunity for you to become familiar with the site and work conditions, and to ask questions. Fayette County, Georgia is seeking quotes for the FY25 Roadside Tree Pruning project. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the safety and aesthetics of the county's roadways by managing tree growth along specified roads. The project aims to enhance public safety and maintain the integrity of the roadways by pruning overhanging tree limbs.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for pruning and trimming overhanging tree limbs along Banks Road (1.58 miles), Flat Creek Trail (3.06 miles), and Old Ford Road (1.45 miles). Specific tasks include:

1. Providing all necessary equipment, personnel, materials, and traffic control as per MUTCD and GDOT standards.
2. Trimming limbs to a maximum height of 70 feet above the roadway surface with flush cuts.
3. Removing small trees (0-6 inches in diameter) from the edge of the pavement to the county right-of-way boundary.
4. Notifying County representatives about any dead or hazardous trees.
5. Cleaning up tree debris within 72 hours of cutting, with specific guidelines on wood chip placement.
6. Adhering to right-of-way specifications: 80-foot for Banks Road; 80-foot from SR 54 to Tyrone Road on Flat Creek Trail; 60-foot from Tyrone Road to Sandy Creek Road; and 60-foot for Old Ford Road.
7. Work hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, adjusted in winter from daylight to dusk.
8. All work must be completed by June 15th, 2025, with payment structured as a lump sum per road.

The contract work is expected to commence after notice to proceed is issued and must be completed by June 15th, 2025.
