Background
The Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, Inc. (ADID) is soliciting statements of qualification from firms for design-build services for the Woodruff Park Accessibility and Activation Project. This project aims to enhance Woodruff Park, a key green space in Downtown Atlanta, which serves a diverse community and sees approximately 52 million visits annually. The project follows a strategic planning process completed in 2020 that identified capital improvements to enhance park utilization.

Work Details
The scope of services includes:
1. **South End Improvements/Dog Park**: Construction of a dog park with seating, artistic fencing, and drainage improvements.
2. **Pathway Improvements**: Maintenance and improvement of pathways to ensure smooth surfaces, removal of seat walls for accessibility, and installation of new concrete paths.
3. **Lighting & Electrical Improvements**: Upgrading existing lighting fixtures to improve visibility and safety while maximizing energy efficiency.
4. **Playground Improvements**: Refurbishing the existing playground structure and adding accessible seating options.

The project will be executed in two phases: Phase I involves design and pre-construction tasks including site plan development, 30% design, and permitting; Phase II covers construction management and execution.

Period of Performance
The Design-Build Contractor's services are expected to commence by July 2025 with substantial completion targeted for August 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
Woodruff Park located in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia, specifically bounded by Auburn Avenue to the north, Peachtree Street to the west, Park Place to the east, and Edgewood Avenue to the south.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must demonstrate experience in urban park projects and include capabilities in architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, construction management, and cost estimating. Compliance with federal regulations regarding E-Verify and other legal requirements is mandatory. Additionally, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to participate.
