Background
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) operates the ninth largest transit system in North America, providing bus, rail, and paratransit services in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. MARTA transports over 500,000 people daily and has approximately 4,540 employees.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek proposals from firms to replace MARTA's current Teledriver system with a fully Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud solution integrated with Oracle. This new system aims to address limitations of the existing Teledriver system and enhance productivity through automation.
Work Details
The replacement system will include:
(1) Scheduling of the timekeeping process within the application;
(2) Automating the driver check-in for service process;
(3) Automating the work pick process.
These enhancements are expected to increase productivity for bus and rail operators while providing necessary flexibility for workforce management. The contract will be administered by MARTA's Department of Technology.
