Background
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) operates the ninth largest transit system in North America, providing bus, rail, and paratransit services in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area.

MARTA is seeking proposals from firms to provide a planning study aimed at advancing transportation, economic development, land use, and resilience planning for a 17.2-mile transit corridor in Clayton County. This project is part of MARTA's ongoing efforts to enhance public transit infrastructure and support regional growth.

Work Details
The selected firm will conduct a planning study that includes:
- Advancing transportation strategies for the transit corridor.
- Supporting economic development initiatives along the corridor.
- Integrating land use planning with transit-oriented development principles.
- Enhancing resilience planning to address potential environmental impacts.

The work is expected to complete Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) planning initiated under a previous contract. The contract will be administered by MARTA’s Department of Real Estate Development and Asset Management.
