RFP: National School Lunch Program School Nutrition Food Service Management Company

Background
New Life Academy of Excellence, located in Duluth, GA, is seeking proposals for the management of its food service program under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and potentially the School Breakfast Program (SBP).
The goal is to enhance the food service operations for the 2025-2026 school year while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
The contract is set to begin on July 1, 2025.

Work Details
The selected Food Service Management Company (FSMC) will be responsible for:
1. Operating the NSLP and SBP, including meal preparation and service at designated school locations.
2. Providing meals that meet USDA nutritional guidelines and specifications.
3. Implementing a point-of-service counting system for meal tracking.
4. Maintaining proper sanitation and health standards in compliance with local and federal regulations.
5. Offering free, reduced-price, and full-price reimbursable meals to eligible students.
6. Developing a 21-day cycle menu for both lunch and breakfast programs that meets USDA requirements.
7. Ensuring maximum participation in the food programs through effective marketing and communication strategies.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2026, with potential extensions based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Food service operations will take place at New Life Academy of Excellence's facilities located at 4725 River Green Parkway, Duluth, GA 30096, as well as any additional locations specified by the SFA.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be licensed to operate in Georgia and demonstrate experience in managing similar food service programs within educational settings.
They must provide financial statements from a certified public accountant and evidence of compliance with USDA regulations regarding child nutrition programs.
Additionally, offerors must submit documentation indicating their familiarity with local school systems' operational regulations.
