RFP 26-711 Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems Services

Background
DeKalb County School District (DCSD) is a metropolitan Atlanta public school system dedicated to providing quality education to over 91,000 students across 138 schools and centers. The district aims to enhance leadership, teaching, and student learning. This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks qualified vendors to provide fire alarm and life safety systems inspection, testing, certification, maintenance, and repair services. The awarded vendor(s) will be responsible for delivering all necessary labor, materials, tools, specialized equipment, supplies, trained personnel, insurance, travel costs, and any other expenses required to fulfill the contract without additional charges.

Work Details
The services required under this contract include:
- Inspection of fire alarm systems
- Testing of fire alarm systems
- Certification of fire alarm systems
- Maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Repair services for fire alarm systems.
The successful offeror must ensure that all work complies with the specifications outlined in the RFP and is performed by qualified personnel.

Period of Performance
The initial contract duration will be for one year starting from December 2025, with options for up to four one-year extensions contingent upon DCSD’s approval.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the DeKalb County School District in Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must submit a valid business license and comply with the Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011. A criminal background check is required for all individuals providing services on DCSD premises. Additionally, offerors must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the RFP.
