Description

The City of Milton is seeking proposals from qualified parties to provide services for fleet vehicle body repairs on an as needed basis for the City of Milton. The awarded contractor(s) must be able to pick up and return repaired vehicles and be no further than twenty-five (25) miles from Milton s city limits. Contractor must have a location of suitable size and personnel to handle the repair and body work of the fleet vehicles without undue delay. City Hall is located at 2006 Heritage Walk, Milton GA 30004. Milton Police Department and Fire administration are located at 13690 Highway 9, Milton GA 30004. The City of Milton may and prefers to award multiple non-exclusive contracts. However, the City reserves the right to award the RFP to one Contractor if needed. The City desires a three (3) year agreement which is renewed annually. All qualified proposals will receive consideration without regard to age, handicap, religion, creed or belief, political affiliation, race, color, sex, or national origin. The City of Milton reserves the right to reject any or all bid/proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities, and to make award in the best interest of the City of Milton. Background
The City of Milton is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide auto body repair services for its fleet vehicles. The goal of this contract is to ensure timely and efficient repairs for various city-owned vehicles, including police and fire department units.

The awarded contractor must be located within 25 miles of Milton's city limits and have the capacity to handle repairs without undue delay. The City prefers to award multiple non-exclusive contracts but reserves the right to select a single contractor if necessary. The desired contract duration is three years, with annual renewals.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
- Frame work labor
- Body work labor
- Mechanical labor
- Paint labor
- Materials and supplies
- Parts
- Decal installation on repaired vehicles.

The specific vehicles to be serviced include:
- Ford Interceptor Utility SUVs
- Ford F150 and F250 pickup trucks
- Ford Maverick and Ranger pickup trucks
- Ford Escape
- Chevy 1500 Silverado pickup trucks
- Chevy Tahoe
- Dodge Durango
- Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycles.

Repairs must be completed in a timely manner following approval from the City or insurance agency. If repairs are expected to exceed 30 days, the contractor must notify the City fleet maintenance officer prior to starting the job.

Period of Performance
The contract is intended to last for three years with annual renewals. Services will commence upon contract award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the contractor's facility located no further than 25 miles from Milton’s city limits.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must demonstrate professional competence and experience in providing auto body repair services. They must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Additionally, contractors are required to register with E-Verify as per O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91.
