The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is seeking proposals from firms capable of providing Durable Medical Equipment (DME). The goal of this contract is to ensure that necessary medical equipment is available to support older adults and adults with disabilities, particularly those transitioning from nursing facilities. Work Details
Firms are required to provide a range of Durable Medical Equipment as outlined in Exhibit A, including but not limited to:
- Hospital Beds (Bariatric, Full Electric, Extender)
- Incontinent Supplies (Briefs, Gloves)
- Medical Life Chairs/Sit to Stand Hospital Beds
- Hoyer Lifts (Standard, Full Electric, Bariatric, Standing)
- Shower Chairs (Standard, Shower Bench with Swivel Seat, Rolling Shower Chairs)
- Various types of Wheelchairs (Manual, Bariatric, High back Reclining)
Additionally, firms must confirm their ability to provide same-day delivery, overnight/weekend delivery options, service repairs within 24 hours of request, and training for individuals and caregivers on equipment usage. Maintenance services for equipment returns and exchanges are also required.
Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a term from July 2025 to June 30, 2026, with the potential for two additional one-year renewals based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
