RFP 2026-0003 Backup Disaster and Recovery (BDR) Solution

Background
The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) is a public body corporate organized under the laws of Georgia, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The Commission seeks to ensure the protection, availability, and recoverability of critical systems and data through a comprehensive Backup Disaster and Recovery (BDR) Solution. This RFP aims to engage qualified firms to deliver a reliable, secure, and high-quality BDR solution that supports both local and cloud-based backups.

Work Details
The selected provider will furnish all equipment, labor, management, materials, and infrastructure necessary for the BDR solution. Key areas of service include:

1. **Backup and Storage Architecture:** On-premises backup appliance with a minimum of 40 TB usable storage; immutable storage for all backup data; offsite replication to a secure cloud environment; isolation from common network protocols.

2. **Security and Compliance:** Multi-factor authentication; Zero Trust architecture; encryption of data in transit and at rest; compliance with standards like FedRAMP.

3. **Disaster Recovery & Testing:** DRaaS coverage for all systems; enhanced capabilities for critical systems; automated backup integrity testing; scheduled disaster recovery testing.

4. **Management & Support:** Centralized management console; 24/7 vendor support; scalable architecture for future growth.

5. **Vendor Qualifications:** Experience delivering BDR solutions to similar organizations; ownership or direct management of DRaaS infrastructure.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is three years with two optional three-year renewal periods. Either party may terminate the contract with thirty days' written notice.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Savannah Airport Commission located at 400 Airways Avenue, Savannah, GA 31408.
