Background
The Telfair County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the asbestos abatement and demolition of the Telfair County Community Development Center Building Conference Room and 24 exterior windows. This project aims to ensure safety and compliance with environmental regulations regarding asbestos removal, as the building contains various asbestos-containing materials (ACM). The work is to be performed in accordance with guidelines set by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the comprehensive removal and proper disposal of ACM, including approximately:
- 2500 sq ft of sprayed-on ceiling texture
- 1800 sq ft of drywall joint compound
- 300 sq ft of vinyl sheet flooring
- One sink coated with black soundproofing
- 24 metal windows with caulking.

The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, supervision, equipment, services, incidentals, and insurance required for the project. All work must comply with current federal and state regulations. Additionally, the contractor must establish barricades, post warning signs, conduct air sampling during abatement activities, and ensure proper waste disposal in accordance with applicable regulations.

Period of Performance
Work is to commence within fifteen (15) days after the award of the contract and must be completed within ninety (90) days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Telfair County Community Development Center located at 91 Telfair Avenue, McRae-Helena, GA 31055.
