Rfp 2025-02 Municipal Solid Waste Collection & Commercial Dumpster Services

Background
The City of Perry, Georgia is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide residential curbside trash collection and commercial dumpster services. The goal of this contract is to determine the most qualified contractor for these services, which may be awarded independently or together. The contract could be renewable for up to four one-year terms.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
- Residential curbside trash collection using 95-gallon wheeled carts, collected once per week.
- Commercial dumpster services with options for 2, 4, 6, and 8 yard containers billed per service per week. Locking containers are available for an additional fee.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of 95-gallon trash toters at an off-site facility, ensuring a minimum supply of 100 at all times at the Public Works facility.
- Address cardboard disposal strategies in the proposal.
- Provide daily route updates regarding anticipated delays, staffing issues, equipment concerns, and planning issues.
- Conduct monthly in-person meetings with key staff to discuss progress and issues.
- Ensure backup equipment and vehicles are available for service continuity within 24 hours of any breakdowns.
- All trucks and equipment must be five years or newer and capable of providing photo proof of service.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and may be renewed for up to four additional one-year terms.

Services will be performed within the City of Perry, Georgia.
