RFP-2024-10 City Hall Pressure Washing

Background
The City of Hinesville is seeking bids for pressure washing services for the City Hall located at 115 East M.L. King Jr., Drive, Hinesville, GA 31313. The goal of this contract is to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the City Hall by removing dirt, mildew, and other debris from its exterior surfaces.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Thorough pressure washing of the entire exterior of the buildings to clean all dirt, dust, mildew, and accumulated debris using appropriate cleaning solutions.

2. Pressure washing shall cover horizontal and vertical surfaces including roofs, overhangs, walls, doors, windows, soffits, fascia, awnings, gutters, and trim to remove mold, mildew, oil grease, adhesives, sand, and dirt.

3. Windows must be squeegeed dry to ensure a clear streak-free finish.

4. Sidewalks within ten feet of the building and concrete surfaces on entrance pads and the second-floor exterior porch must be washed using environmentally friendly cleaners.

5. Contractors must possess technical knowledge for proper application of pressure and chemicals used in cleaning processes.

6. All necessary apparatus for safe operation at heights must be provided by contractors including ladders, scaffolds, man-lifts, rigging systems, ropes, chairs, harnesses, and squeegees.

7. No runoff or disposal into storm water drainage systems is allowed; work areas must be covered to collect wastewaters for disposal into sanitary sewage systems.

8. Precautions must be taken to prevent damage to roofs and existing utilities during cleaning operations; any damage must be repaired at the vendor's expense.

9. Brush cleaning and low-pressure cleaning should be utilized as necessary to avoid damage to building exteriors.

10. All chemicals used must be 'Green Seal' labeled or equivalent and environmentally safe/non-toxic with a list provided with the bid.

11. Protection of existing structures and vegetation during operations is mandatory; any damage caused by the contractor will require repair or replacement at their expense.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to perform services within 30 days after being awarded the bid.
