Resurfacing, Milling & Traffic Control

Background
The City of McDonough, Georgia, is seeking bids for resurfacing, milling, and traffic control work on various streets as part of its infrastructure improvement efforts. The project aims to enhance road safety and accessibility for residents and visitors. The streets involved include Parkside Place Drive, Parkside Place Avenue, Parkside Lane, Parkside Way, Clubhouse, and South Point Blvd., with a total gross length of approximately 3.178 miles.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Milling existing asphalt where designated
- Inlay resurfacing with hot mix asphaltic concrete
- Patching designated areas
- Centerline and edgeline striping
- Parking space striping
- Installation of stop bars
- Removal and replacement of existing speed bumps
- Installation of crosswalks and symbols.

Specific quantities include:
- 410 tons of asphalt patching
- 4020 tons of topping asphalt
- 2790 gallons of bituminous tack coat
- Various pavement markings including handicap symbols and traffic stripes.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence within fifteen (15) days after the Notice to Proceed is issued and must be completed within ninety (90) calendar days thereafter. All work must be completed by May 1, 2025.

The contract will be performed in McDonough, Georgia, specifically on the streets listed: Parkside Place Drive, Parkside Place Avenue, Parkside Lane, Parkside Way, Clubhouse, and South Point Blvd.
