Barrow County School System is requesting quotes from qualified Contractors for Playground Equipment & Repairs. Each interested contractor shall be responsible for the review of information contained herein, other information which may be requested, site visitation as required, and other efforts as necessary for the submission of a comprehensive proposal which will represent the Contractor's best offer as a supplier of Playground Equipment & Repairs for Barrow County School System. Each proposal shall be complete, and it shall be outlined and identified by sections of this request to facilitate evaluation and to prevent evaluators from unnecessary search/arranging materials for evaluation purposes. In the preparation of each proposal attention should be given to the criteria referenced herein which will be used for purposes of evaluation and award determination purposes.
Background
Barrow County School System (BCSS) is the 24th largest school system in Georgia, serving approximately 15,340 students across 20 schools. As a Charter System, BCSS has the flexibility to implement innovative instructional practices.

The goal of this contract is to procure playground equipment supply and repair services to ensure the safety and functionality of playgrounds for students, faculty, and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for maintenance and repairs on district playground equipment at ten specified elementary schools. The contractor must evaluate all playground equipment at each location to determine necessary repairs that comply with federal, state, and local safety standards.

The following schools are included: Auburn Elementary School, Austin Rd. Elementary School, Bethlehem Elementary School, Bramlett Elementary School, Countyline Elementary School, Holsenbeck Elementary School, Kennedy Elementary School, Statham Elementary School, Winder Elementary School, and Yargo Elementary School.

All labor, materials, and equipment required for repairs must be included in the proposal. A quote for repairs must be submitted to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) before any work can commence. Immediate repair requests for safety reasons will take precedence over other repairs. Inspections must occur within five business days of a request, with repairs completed within 30 working days from receipt of a Purchase Order (PO).

The contractor must also have the ability to repair various types of playground equipment from different manufacturers such as Little Tikes and Gametime.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to start immediately for the fiscal year and will continue as needed based on repair requests and approvals.

Place of Performance
Repairs will be performed at various locations within Barrow County, Georgia specifically at the listed elementary schools.
