Request For Qualifications Architectural Services For A 5 Year Plan

Background
The Cartersville School System, established in 1888, is a public school district located in northwest Georgia. It serves over 4,700 students across four school facilities and is committed to providing quality education and well-maintained facilities.

The district is preparing to revise its five-year facilities plan in accordance with the Georgia Department of Education's requirements. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) aims to engage qualified Architectural Design firms with extensive experience in public school systems in Georgia to assist in this endeavor.

Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for:
1) Inspecting all school, athletic, support, and administrative facilities;
2) Producing a list of recommended renovations, modernizations, or replacements of structures throughout the District;
3) Conducting meetings with owners to determine prioritization of projects;
4) Producing and submitting a five-year plan for facilities renovation, modernization, and replacement that meets the requirements of the Georgia DOE Facilities group and O.C.G.A. 20-2-260;
5) Developing a plan for renovation, modernization, and replacement of facilities outside the purview of the Georgia DOE Capital Outlay program.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon selection and is expected to span over a five-year period as it aligns with the development and execution of the facilities plan.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must demonstrate extensive experience with public school systems in Georgia. Responses must include qualifications of architects and engineers involved in the project, references from K-12 school clients in Georgia for projects completed or underway within the last five years, and details on any litigation history.

Firms should also provide information on their fee structure specific to this project.
