Regional Pump Station and Sewer

Background
The City of Social Circle, Georgia is seeking proposals for the construction of a new pump station and sewer system. The project aims to improve the city's infrastructure and enhance its utility services. The City will review proposals and award contracts to the most advantageous bidders, with two separate contracts available for bidding.

Work Details
The work to be performed includes the construction of a new pump station, approximately 8,100 linear feet of 6-inch forcemain, cased bores, directional bores, generator installation, clearing, erosion and sediment control best management practices, as well as other related appurtenances.
Specific major items to be addressed by the General Contractor include regional pump station, piping, submersible pumps, SCADA system, generator installation, electrical work, fencing, force main installation, gravity sewer construction, and erosion control best management practices.
The construction timeline requires substantial completion within 180 consecutive calendar days and final completion within 300 consecutive calendar days.

Period of Performance
The construction work is expected to be completed within a period of 180 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion (operational), with liquidated damages beginning thereafter. Final completion including the generator is expected within 300 consecutive calendar days.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed in Social Circle, Georgia. Proposals will be received at the City Manager’s Office of Social Circle City Hall located at 166 North Cherokee Road, Social Circle, GA 30025.
