Rabun County WSA Package Water Treatment System Replacement

Background
The Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority in Georgia is seeking bids for the construction of a Package Water Treatment System Replacement at the Lake Rabun Water Treatment Plant.

The project aims to enhance the existing 2.0 MGD Water Treatment Facility, ensuring improved functionality and efficiency.

Work Details
The project includes major enhancements such as:

- Restoration of 2 each 1.0 MGD package filter units and associated controls with new filter media and internal components;
- Conversion of each filter unit from a Roberts system to a Trident system manufactured by Westech Engineering, Inc.;
- Upgrading all controls;
- Replacing existing blowers with new air piping;
- Repairing any interior coating failures in each filter.

The filter equipment package for the 2 each 1.0 MGD package filter units will be provided by the Authority and is already stored near the Water Treatment Plant site.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to achieve substantial completion within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days and final completion within one hundred fifty (150) consecutive calendar days from the date of a written 'Notice to Proceed' from the OWNER.

Initial work is intended to begin in early January 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Lake Rabun Water Treatment Plant located in Rabun County, Georgia.
