Qualified Design-Build Services

Background
The Washington County Board of Education is seeking qualified general contractors to provide design-build services for the management of design and construction delivery of selected projects under ESPLOST 5 for the Washington County School District. The goal is to enhance educational facilities through renovations and modifications across various school sites.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the design and construction of multiple projects, including:

1. Renovations/modifications to the Washington Co. Achievement Academy, including reconfiguration of classroom and office spaces, restroom upgrades, parking, and outdoor spaces.

2. Renovations/additions/modifications to Washington County High School, including HVAC replacement, LED lighting upgrades, and interior renovations.

3. Renovations/additions/modifications to Ridge Road Complex, focusing on HVAC upgrades and cafeteria renovations.

4. Upgrades to the Washington County Board of Education Office, including interior/exterior improvements and new LED lighting.

5. Modifications to the Bus Maintenance facility with additional office spaces and miscellaneous upgrades.

6. Additional projects as necessary to expand and improve facilities. The contractor will manage all phases of design and construction delivery, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a timeframe to be determined, with a total budget not exceeding $28 million.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at various locations within the Washington County School District in Sandersville, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed State of Georgia Contractors with sufficient bonding capacity for the anticipated total cost of work. They must have an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 1.0 or less over the past three years for Worker’s Compensation safety compliance. Additionally, firms must provide engineering and surveying services by licensed professionals.
