Project No. 0117-085-24 DP GSU Baseball Field

Background
Georgia State University (GSU), a representative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, is soliciting statements of qualifications from firms interested in providing Professional Design services for the project known as GSU Baseball Field and GSU Project No. 0117-085-24, BOR Project No. BR-50-2404. GSU is the largest institution of higher education in Georgia with a current student enrollment of approximately 52,000. The proposed project involves developing a new baseball field with seating for 1,000 spectators, shade structure, field lighting, artificial turf, and a building totaling approximately 3,000 square feet for concessions, restrooms, and the press box. The project will be constructed on the current location of GSU’s Green Lot along Pollard Boulevard.

Work Details
The scope of the design professional services includes architectural programming/cost model, existing site conditions analyses, conceptual design, schematic design, design development documents, construction documents, construction administration, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems design, low voltage design, preliminary furniture layout, coordination with GSU assigned furniture and A/V vendors, interior design, fixtures and equipment selection, signage/wayfinding/graphics,
code review and compliance,
coordination with all applicable governmental entities,
budgeting/detailed cost estimates/cost management,
regular coordination with the Construction Professional during preconstruction and design phases,
commissioning support,
quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC),
coordination with consultants hired by GSU.

Period of Performance
The Design Professional’s services are anticipated to commence by September 3rd, 2024 with construction documents anticipated for completion by January 31st, 2025. The start of construction is contingent on the availability of funding.

Place of Performance
The project will be located at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
