Pipe Culvert On Lumpkin Parkway

Background
The Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids for the installation of a 120-inch aluminized metal 10-gauge corrugated pipe in Cane Creek under Lumpkin County Parkway. This project is part of the TSPLOST Project #2025-009, aimed at improving local infrastructure and ensuring proper drainage.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of 84 feet of 120-inch aluminized metal 10-gauge corrugated pipe. The installation includes:

- Traffic Control: Road closure until project completion.
- Grading Complete: All items specified in GDOT standards.
- Erosion Control: Final grassing and other necessary items to control erosion.
- Rip Rap: Mixture of type 3 rip rap and surge stone for inlet and outlet headwalls.
- Backfill Material: Type II backfill under the pipe extending up to one-third of its height on each side, with remaining fill being crushed stone or compacted dirt.
- Paving: 8 inches of graded aggregate base (GAB) topped with 2 inches of 19mm asphalt and a final coat of 12.5mm asphalt over the disturbed area.

All work must comply with GDOT 2021 standard specifications. The total bid will be paid on a lump sum basis, covering all materials and labor required to complete the project.

Period of Performance
The contract must be completed within 90 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Failure to complete the project within this timeframe will incur liquidated damages of $200 per day.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Cane Creek under Lumpkin County Parkway, Dahlonega, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid amount. Performance and payment bonds are required at 100% of the total contract price upon award. Bidders must comply with all state and federal laws, including maintaining a drug-free workplace and registering with E-Verify for employment eligibility verification.
