Description

Work will include removal of existing Electrical Motor, Vertical Turbine Pump, Column Pipe, Bowl Assembly, and other appurtenances necessary to perform cleaning and video inspection of Ex. 10 Well Casing. Work will also include furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to install a 100-HP, 650 GPM Vertical Turbine Pump, Construction of a New Chemical Feed Building, demolition of the existing Chemical Feed Building, yard piping, installation of +/- 850 LF of 12 Water Main. Construction shall also include logging and performing a 24-hour pump test, site work, electrical, valves, painting, fencing, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the work. Background
The City of Lakeland is issuing a solicitation for the construction of the Pine Street Well Rehabilitation and New Chemical Feed Building. Work Details
The scope of work includes:

Additional tasks include logging and performing a 24-hour pump test, site work, electrical work, installation of valves, painting, fencing, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project.

Period of Performance
The total time allotted for construction is 360 consecutive calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Pine Street Well site located in Lakeland, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid license as a 'Utility Contractor' issued by the State of Georgia. Additionally, bidders must employ a 'Utility Manager' certification holder for oversight. Bids must include proof of this license on the bid envelope. A bid bond or certified cashier’s check amounting to no less than 10% of the base bid is required. Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder.
