Pest Management Services

Background
The Habersham County Board of Education (HCBOE) is seeking Pest Management Services for the Habersham County Schools for the fiscal year 2026. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective pest control across multiple school facilities, enhancing the safety and health of students and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive pest management services at various locations including:

- Baldwin Elementary
- Clarkesville Elementary
- Cornelia Elementary
- Demorest Elementary
- HCSD Facilities and Maintenance Department
- HCSD Transportation Department
- Fairview Elementary
- Hazel Grove Elementary
- Level Grove Elementary
- Woodville Elementary
- Hilliard A. Wilbanks Middle School
- North Habersham Middle School
- South Habersham Middle School
- Habersham Ninth Grade Academy
- HCSD Technology Department
- Habersham Central High School and Agricultural Center
- HCSD Food Service Lab
- HCSD Administrative Offices.

The services include:
1. Implementation of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program focusing on communication, monitoring, evaluations, sanitation awareness, exclusion recommendations, and mechanical control.
2. Monthly inspections and treatments targeting all pests including insects (ants, roaches), arachnids (spiders), and rodents (mice).
3. Specific attention to kitchens and food labs with treatments conducted monthly.
4. Provision of all necessary labor and materials compliant with federal and state regulations.
5. Monthly service schedules with specific times for each facility as outlined in the RFQ.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on July 1, 2026, and will run through June 30, 2027. There is an option for annual extensions for up to four additional years based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Habersham County Schools in Georgia including multiple elementary schools, middle schools, a high school, and associated facilities.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been in business for a minimum of two years and are required to perform background checks on employees working on school property. They must provide a current certificate of insurance with specified coverage amounts. Bidders must also comply with E-Verify requirements under O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91 and hold valid licenses from the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
