Paving Markings Services

Background
The City of College Park is seeking proposals from qualified individuals, firms, or companies for pavement marking services. The goal of this contract is to enhance the safety and visibility of road markings within the city, aligning with the city's mission to maintain and improve public infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing pavement marking services which include but are not limited to: applying thermoplastic and paint markings on city streets, maintaining existing markings, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations regarding road safety.

The contractor must also provide all necessary equipment and materials for the job. Specific tasks may include the installation of lane lines, crosswalks, stop bars, and other traffic control markings as specified by the city.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a period of one year with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the City of College Park, Fulton County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount. Successful bidders are required to furnish a performance bond and/or payment bond for 100% of the contract amount prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed.

Bidders must also hold any necessary professional licenses required by state law for work performed (e.g., electricians, plumbers). Additionally, businesses located within College Park may receive local preference if their bid is not more than 3% higher than that of a non-local vendor.
