Pavement Markings

Background
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for pavement markings on various roads throughout Douglas County, Georgia. The county provides a range of services to its citizens, including transportation planning and roadway maintenance. This contract aims to enhance road safety and visibility through proper pavement markings.

The initial term of this bid is from July through December 2026, followed by an additional one-year period starting January 2027, with options to renew for three additional one-year terms.

Work Details
The work involves pavement markings scheduled and released as individual Purchase Orders by Douglas County staff. Each Purchase Order will specify the road(s), including termini, length, and required striping components such as centerline, edge lines, and lane markings.

The intent is to solicit approximately 11.4 miles of roadway striping during the first year, excluding unforeseen challenges. All work must comply with current Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards. The contractor will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, mobilization, traffic control, and other costs in the overall bid price per unit.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence in July 2026 and run through December 2026, with an option for renewal for up to three additional one-year terms.

Douglas County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be Pre-Qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), and all subcontractors must also be registered with GDOT. Bidders must maintain their qualifications throughout the life of the agreement.

Additionally, bidders are required to submit a sealed bid on the Unit Price Bid Form and provide evidence of adequate insurance coverage before commencing work.
