Pavement Maintenance for Fairmount Elementary

Background
The Gordon County School System (GCSS) is seeking proposals for pavement maintenance at Fairmount Elementary School. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of the school's pavement, which is essential for safety and accessibility.

The GCSS emphasizes the importance of maintaining a clean and functional environment for students and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and related services for pavement maintenance, including:
- **Orange Area (Asphalt Overlay)**: Approximately 1,760 square yards, including cleaning surfaces, pre-pave milling to a depth of 3 inches, applying tack coat, filling potholes with hot asphalt, paving with 1 inch Perma-Flex Asphalt and 1 inch surface asphalt.
- **Yellow Area (Patch Area)**: Approximately 62 square yards, including cleaning surfaces, applying tack coat, and paving with 1 inch surface asphalt.
- **Green Area (Sealcoating)**: Approximately 20,034 square feet, including cleaning surfaces, treating oil spots with primer, applying two spray coats of Coal Tar Pavement Sealer, and restriping the parking lot area as per existing layout.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeline proposed by the vendor. Proposals must include a projected timeline for project completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Fairmount Elementary School located at 130 Peachtree St., Fairmount, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide three letters of reference from similar projects. They must also include a detailed outline for costs and services in their proposal. Vendors are required to have liability insurance including workers' compensation and must submit an Immigration Requirement Form as per Georgia law.

Additionally, if the bid exceeds $100,000.00, a 5% Surety Bid Bond is required along with Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the contract amount.
