Oxford Road Paving Project

Background
The Town of Clermont, Georgia, is issuing a solicitation for the Oxford Road Paving Project. The project aims to enhance the roadway's safety and usability by widening and resurfacing a section of Oxford Road between Main Street and U.S. 129. This initiative aligns with the town's commitment to maintaining and improving its infrastructure for the benefit of its residents and visitors.

Work Details
The project involves the following key tasks:

1. Conducting a full-depth reclamation (FDR) of the entire road, which is approximately 2085 feet long;

2. Widening the existing roadway from 18 feet to 20 feet by adding 2 feet during the FDR process;

3. Installing a 2-inch layer of 19mm binder coarse;

4. Overlaying with a 1.5-inch layer of 9.5mm surface coarse mixed with lime.

Additionally, traffic control measures must be implemented, including road closure signs, barricades, detour signs, flagging, and work zone signage, all compliant with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

Period of Performance
The contractor is required to complete all work by July 1, 2025. Extensions may be granted in case of delays due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The work will be performed on Oxford Road between Main Street and U.S. 129 in Clermont, Georgia.
