The City of Warner Robins is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to select a qualified medical provider capable of delivering comprehensive onsite medical examinations in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard 1582. The goal of this contract is to ensure that fire department personnel receive annual physical examinations, thereby promoting their health and operational readiness.
The Warner Robins Fire Department consists of 142 employees across various divisions and requires these evaluations due to unique occupational health exposures and continuous shift operations.
Work Details
The contractor will perform onsite medical examinations that adhere to NFPA 1582 standards, which include:
- Comprehensive head-to-toe physical exams
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
- Lipid Panel
- Urinalysis
- Audiogram (hearing test)
- Spirometry (lung function test)
- Vision screening
Additional optional components may include: Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) testing for males over 40, colon cancer screening for individuals over 40, and an annual aggregate health trend analysis. The contractor must tailor services to the department’s demographics and operational needs, ensuring minimal disruption during the examination process.
Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. The anticipated evaluation process will occur in April 2026, with contract approval expected in April/May 2026.
Place of Performance
All medical examinations will be conducted at the Warner Robins Fire Department located at 700 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
