MRR-25-0706 Langdale Hall Demolition

Background
The Langdale Hall Demolition project is initiated by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, specifically for Valdosta State University. The mission of this project is to completely demolish the existing post-tension structure of Langdale Hall, which includes the removal of underground utilities, site demolition, and post-demolition landscaping. The goal is to clear the site for future use while ensuring compliance with quality requirements as outlined in Section 014000.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition of Langdale Hall, which includes:
- Demolition of the existing post-tension structure.
- Removal of all underground utilities associated with the building.
- Site demolition to prepare the area for future development.
- Post-demolition landscaping to restore or enhance the site appearance following demolition.
Bidders must pay special attention to Section 014000 - Quality Requirements, which outlines minimum qualifications and standards that must be met during execution.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon receipt of a Proceed Order and must be materially complete within 180 consecutive calendar days from that date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Valdosta State University, located at 1500 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, Georgia 31602.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet state licensure requirements and document minimum experience requirements as specified in Section 014000 - Quality Requirements. Bids must include a Bid Bond equal to not less than five percent of the bid amount and both a performance bond and a payment bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum prior to execution.
