Milk Bid

Background
The Pierce County School Nutrition Program is seeking sealed bids for the supply and delivery of milk and dairy products for PK-12 schools. The program aims to provide nutritious meals to students in compliance with federal regulations governing school nutrition programs. This Invitation For Bid (IFB) is intended to establish a contract with one or more vendors who can meet the specified requirements for quality and delivery.

Work Details
The successful bidder will be responsible for supplying and delivering milk and dairy products as specified in Attachment B of the IFB. The products must comply with all relevant health and safety standards, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) requirements.

Vendors must provide traceability systems, 24/7 accessibility for recalls, and public notification capabilities regarding food recalls. Additionally, all items must be properly labeled, and no private labels will be accepted on commercial products. Nutrition data must be provided for all items, including fresh, frozen, and canned products.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and will end on June 30, 2026. There is an option to extend the contract for up to three additional months at the same bid pricing upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to various schools within Pierce County as specified in the bid documents.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with federal regulations regarding procurement under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP). They must not be debarred or suspended from participation in federal assistance programs.

Bidders are required to submit a Lobbying Certification if their bid exceeds $100,000 and a Debarment Verification if it exceeds $25,000. The Pierce County Board of Education encourages participation from minority-owned businesses.
