McIntosh Memorial Reconstruction-Freedom Park

Background
The City of Valdosta, Georgia, is issuing this contract for the reconstruction of the McIntosh Memorial at Freedom Park. The project aims to enhance the memorial site by removing existing structures and constructing a new plaza and monument. This effort fulfills the city's mission to maintain and improve public spaces for community engagement and remembrance.

Work Details
The work includes:
1. Removal of the existing concrete paver plaza and stone monument at Freedom Park.
2. Salvaging select materials and components from the existing structures.
3. Constructing a new concrete paver plaza with a diameter of 48 feet.
4. Reinstalling the existing stone monument, which measures approximately 10 feet by 5 feet by 4 feet in height, on a new concrete base.
Additional items may include concrete pavers, markers, benches, and landscaping as specified in the bid package.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon receiving a written Notice to Proceed from the Engineer. It must be completed within consecutive calendar days as specified in the contract documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Freedom Park located off Guest Road in Valdosta, Georgia.
