Description
Background
The Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority (LLIDA) was established in 1962 as a state agency with the mission to plan, develop, and operate four islands in Lake Sidney Lanier for resort and recreation purposes. This initiative aims to enhance tourism potential in North Georgia. LLIDA oversees approximately 1,100 acres at Lake Lanier Islands and additional properties totaling 315 acres. The current goal is to create a Master Plan that supports LLIDA's mission and strategic plan across its mixed-use leisure, entertainment, and tourism-oriented properties.
Work Details
LLIDA seeks a comprehensive Master Plan with an Implementation Strategy that will guide physical development across its properties. The plan should address various aspects of the environment including facilities, lodging, recreation (both active and passive), open spaces, housing, and circulation. Additional focused plans may include Utilities Master Plans, Landscape Master Plans, and Recreational Activities Master Plans.
The Master Plan must reflect a clear identity for the area, enhance access and enjoyment for diverse interest groups, support collaboration with partners, encourage historical preservation, and provide a financially viable implementation strategy. It should also include measures for observable outcomes to monitor implementation progress.
Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over an initial term of one year with two optional one-year renewals.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Lake Lanier Islands located in Buford, Georgia.
Bidder Requirements
Firms must meet minimum qualifications including not being debarred or suspended from contracting by any state or federal agency. They must be registered to do business in Georgia. Additionally, firms are encouraged to demonstrate experience with public owners and large multi-purpose properties.
Proposals must include completed Exhibits A (Certification Form), B (Contractor Affidavit), and C (Disclosure Statement).
