Lakes Blvd East Improvements

Background
The City of Kingsland is seeking sealed proposals from certified and qualified General Contractors for the improvement and paving of two adjacent sections of Lakes Blvd East. The goal of this contract is to enhance local infrastructure, specifically focusing on road improvements and pedestrian safety.

Work Details
The project consists of the following tasks:

1. Improvement and paving of approximately 0.63 miles of unimproved roadbed (westerly section) and a 0.35-mile overlay of existing asphalt pavement (easterly section).

2. Installation of a five-foot wide concrete sidewalk along the entire length of both segments.

3. Installation and/or replacement of culverts necessary for proper drainage management.

4. Site preparation, grading, removal of existing drainage structures, erosion control measures, new culvert installation, sub-base and base installation, hot mix asphalt paving, concrete sidewalk installation, striping, traffic control measures, and other miscellaneous items/work.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within ten days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within a timeframe specified by the contractor in their proposal.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on Lakes Blvd East in Kingsland, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a current valid business license in Kingsland/Camden County and be certified contractors with the State of Georgia. A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for September 3, 2025. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the total proposal amount along with their proposal documents.
