Kia Training Center-Facade Restoration Waterproof

Background
The Technical College System of Georgia is accepting sealed bids on behalf of Georgia Quick Start for the construction of the Kia Training Center Facade Waterproofing Repairs project.
The Kia Training Center is located at 900 Kia Blvd, West Point, GA 30223.
This project aims to restore and waterproof the facade and soffit areas of the facility, ensuring its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Repair, sealing, and coating of stucco wall surfaces;
2) Painting of stucco soffits;
3) Metal painting;
4) Joint sealants installation;
5) Replacement of doors and hardware;
6) Miscellaneous work as shown in the construction drawings.

Specific tasks include:
a) Investigating and repairing TPO single-ply roof membrane at leak locations;
b) Removing and replacing sealant at exterior wall areas including door perimeters and penetrations;
c) Replacing existing door leafs and hardware while coordinating with security components;
d) Cleaning, priming, and painting new metal doors and existing fixtures;
e) Inspecting and repairing damaged stucco areas with elastomeric wall coating.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award with specific timelines for each phase outlined in the bid documents.
The mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for May 19, 2025, with bid proposals due by June 17, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Kia Training Center located at 900 Kia Blvd, West Point, GA 30223.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been in business under their current name for a minimum of five years without being judged in default on any construction contract during that time.
They must be licensed to operate in Georgia and have completed at least two similar projects involving exterior wall work.
The Contractor's Superintendent must have five years of relevant experience. All subcontractors must meet these qualifications as well.
