Jackson County Public Works - Ridgeway Church - Roundabout

Background
The Jackson County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Ridgeway Church Road, SK Boulevard, and Steve Reynolds Industrial Parkway. This project aims to improve traffic flow and safety in the area. The contract will be awarded based on the best interest of Jackson County, with the right to reject any or all proposals.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all materials and labor necessary to construct a roundabout according to plans and specifications provided by Keck & Wood. The work includes but is not limited to:
- Traffic control
- Temporary grassing
- Construction and removal of construction exits
- Maintenance of temporary silt fences
- Grading
- Installation of asphalt concrete layers
- Concrete work including curbs and gutters
- Storm drainage systems
- Lighting standards
- Traffic markings.

A detailed list of bid items includes various unit prices for specific tasks such as grading complete, recycled asphalt concrete layers, concrete median construction, installation of storm drain pipes, and more.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within 30 days after receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and must be completed within 365 days from the start date.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the intersection of Ridgeway Church Road, SK Boulevard, and Steve Reynolds Industrial Parkway in Jefferson, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond with their proposal. Upon award of the contract, a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price will be required. Bidders must also comply with the Georgia Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act by submitting a Contractor Affidavit verifying their use of the E-Verify program.
